We're gearing up for our second

auction to help raise funds for 

Buddy's chemotherapy.

Buddy has begun the treatments

already and has a way to go.

His total medical bill will be

around $5,000 so we're holding

another auction to raise some more

money to help him out.

We'll be posting photos here to tempt

you & get you excited for the auction

which will begin at NOON on 

March FIRST.

This is an online auction on our

Facebook page:

When the auction opens, you will go

to our page and look for the auction

album. Go through the photos, read

the item description then bid by

posting in the "comments" area.

Type in your bid amount and your

e-mail address and your bid is posted.

At the end of the auction, if you are the 

winning bidder, we'll send you a PayPal 

invoice. Once paid, your item will be shipped 

to you by the donor of the item. 

Please read the descriptions carefully

to make sure you understand the terms.

Joshua Fund Donates to Buddy's Chemo!

We just got word that the Joshua Fund will 

be donating $500 for Buddy's chemotherapy! 

Joshua was the very heart of Dan 

(the man who will be doing the donating) 

and he set up a fund for animals in need, 

much like Koda's Legacy.
Dan will be sending the donation directly to 

Buddy's Veterinarian and we've provided the 

Joshua Fund with all the information needed.

Thank you Dan for honoring your 

beloved Joshua by helping Buddy!

Becoming A Koda's Legacy Family Member

A Message From Koda

Welcome everyone!

I would like to clarify certain aspects of Koda’s Legacy. We are a very small organization that is striving to make Koda’s Legacy a household name! We would like to assist as many four legged creatures as possible, and this will not happen without “you” assisting us in this endeavor.

Within the realm of Koda’s Legacy when we have approved an application of an animal in need and have agreed to assist we require certain things. Those things will not only allow Koda’s Legacy to flourish but it will ensure that the medical care of said animal will be covered.

Those particular aspects are:

•   When your application is approved you have agreed to share the chip-in applied to your animal, not just on your page but other pages as well to get as many donations as possible.

•   You have agreed to share Koda’s Legacy again not just on your page but other pages as well, this will help to guarantee success of helping animals in need.

•   You have agreed to donate at least one item to any auctions that we will have for your four legged fur being in order to bring in funds.

•   You have agreed to keep in contact with Koda’s Legacy and let us know about all treatments, plans etc.

Koda’s Legacy CANNOT and WILL NOT do everything on their own, we will give you all of the tools necessary to make this a success, we will share, we will hold auctions, we will call veterinarians, we will negotiate pricing, and we will donate to auctions.

We have other animals that are awaiting medical care. Koda’s Legacy reserves the right to pull funding from any animal to which these aspects are not being adhered to, those funds will then be set forth to assist another animal in need.

Koda's Legacy

is helping Buddy!

This is Buddy!
Buddy has Subcutaneous Lymphoma.
 Buddy is 11 years old and his family
has asked for "our" help!
Not mine, not yours, but OURS!
Koda's Legacy has decided after careful
review of Buddy's families’ application,
an in depth conversation with one of
Buddy's Veterinarians and a conversation
with the nurse that assists with Buddy
at his other Veterinarian.

Buddy has a very good prognosis
and with IV therapy he should be
able to go into remission.
There is not a cure for this type of
cancer but once in remission Buddy
will be able to live a normal and healthy life.

We would like to ask everyone to share
Buddy’s story and his page to get them
more exposure. We have a Chip-In
(to the right of this page)
for the chemotherapy
(cost at least $5000.00)
We'll be holding another auction shortly
to assist with more funds so Buddy
doesn't have to miss any treatments.

As time goes on we will have numerous
updates about Buddy’s response
to treatment, our fund-raising efforts, etc.

Koda's Legacy Auction Was Fantastic!

One of the auction items that was up for bid.

Thank you to all who bid in our

first ever auction to benefit

Koda's Legacy! 

Koda himself was happy to get 

the wonderful items together

(with a bit of help from his "hoomans")

and the bids came in fast & furious.

It is an awful lot of work to request

donations for an auction, then to photograph

each item and write a description.

After that comes "spreading the word"

so people will visit and possibly bid.

We were so overwhelmed with the 

outpouring of support for our charitable

project that it took our breaths away!

Koda's Legacy raised over $1,800

with our first auction and we're already 

on our way to helping a dog in need!

Thank you to our donors who gave us

such wonderful items for the auction.

You all were terribly generous and we

can't thank all of you enough!

Thank you to our bidders for having

fun with us and for bidding so generously.

We hope to have another auction in the 

near future that will be helping some

fur baby in need of  our assistance!

Welcome To Koda's Legacy!

 

 

We are a family of 3 humans that live in seperate houses,

6 dogs ( Rottweiler Koda, Pit Bull/ Lab mix Skoobers,

Shih Tzu Myka, Shih Tzu Mercedes, Shih Tzu Bentley, Yorkie Toby),

3 cats (Issac Newton, Leonette and Lucy Lou),

and 2 guinea pigs (Diesel and Jelly Bean.)

We love all of our furbabies immensely and

will do everything within our power to

make sure that they have an

awesome quality of life.

Koda and Skoobers do not wear collars or

harnesses unless they are leaving the yard

with us, for we do not own them.

We are very giving people and we view

our animals as family not possessions.

We believe that our animals are free

spirited and are equal to us.

Our furbabies live in the house with us,

sleep with us and they sleep on our couches.

We know first hand how it is to have an

animal that has chronic medical issues

and to be financially strapped. ​

You feel like your hands are tied and you

have no place to turn, thoughts start to run

rampant through your mind on how to get

medical care for your loved one.

We have always been fortunate to be able to

afford all of Koda's medical needs even

being financially strapped at times.

This is not the case for most people.

We are very giving people who came up with

the idea to honor our boy Koda with a legacy

that is different than most organizations

assisting people financially for their animals

Koda's Legacy is being designed around Koda,

and Koda's needs. We realize that situations

will differ with different medical conditions

that arise, but the outcome is still the same:

"We want our babies healthy

and to have a quality of life."

We are a small organization that is

NOT non-profit 501(c)3 yet, but we

are working diligently to become one.

​

Koda's Legacy was founded in 2012

because of an unstable economy to

which families are making a choice of

either euthanization or reliquishing their

pet up to a shelter because of their

financial situations they can no longer

afford health care for their beloved pet.

​

The largest percentage of donations go to veterinary

care, although there is a small operating cost,

(example: bank fees, website) We are strictly

volunteers and do not get paid for our time.

​

We are not veterinarians nor are we vet technicians,

we will no give medical advice of any form.

healthy life with their families!
