On July 12, 2012 a dog was put to death

simply because he was "that kind."

Lennox was a pitbull who had a family

and never did anything to anyone except

show love. He was impounded for years

in a cold lonely concrete cell with little

human contact. The powers in Belfast

wanted to make an example of him.

Despite world-wide outcry, Lennox 

was put to death never seeing 

his family again. Never running free or

allowed to snuggle with his people for

the last years of his life.

Why?

Simply because he was a breed that

was feared in ignorance.

Kodas Legacy News and Auction Schedule!

At this very moment, Skoobers' Legacy is

running our auction to fund items that will

be sent to our winning animals shelter.

"Skoobers' Box Of Love" will contain all

sorts of lovely things to brighten up the lives

of shelter animals and their caregivers.

Collars, leashes, cat toys, dog toys and whatever

is on the winning shelter's Wish List will be

sent to them free of any charges with love!

Koda's Legacy gets many requests for 

financial help for family pet's medical needs

but at this point, we just don't have the funds 

needed. That's not to say that we won't help

in some other way. There are many "Giving Widgets"

to the right of this page and you can be assured

that we have checked the validity of each pet

thoroughly. If a widget is there, we have investigated

better than most organizations do because our

reputation is on the line.

So when Hazel's Mommy came to us, we checked

things out. Mommy had half of the money needed 

for Hazel's breast cancer surgery. Koda's Legacy

pitched in and is helping run an auction for Hazel too!

much money as we can to fund the medical

Auction Schedule For Dogs In Need!

Koda's Legacy

is pleased to announce our upcoming

schedule for our fund-raising auctions!

First one is to raise money to help a service dog

who has Lymphoma. This auction is under the 

auspices of Koda's Legacy and it is being put

together by the service dog trainer.

The next auction is tentatively scheduled 

for July 1st. A poster will be coming as soon

as we firm up the dates.  This auction will

benefit Skoobers' Legacy which is the "brother"

of Koda's Legacy, dedicated to helping brighten 

the lives of shelter pets. The proceeds from that 

auction will help us fill a "Skoobers' Box Of Love"

with collars, leashes, toys, etc. which will be sent

to an animal shelter in the United States.

The third auction will be called

Koda's Legacy Christmas In July Auction.

Scheduled to begin on July 15, the proceeds

from that auction will go to pay the Veterinary

bills for our current "Legacy Doggies."  We have

been helping a Diabetic Service Dog and a dog

that has cancer. The bills have been high but 

thanks to our donors and auction winners, the

Vet bills are paid up to date!

We have a long list of applicants for our services

and have been able to help other pets in need of

medical services but we'd like to expand our 

program as much & as fast as we can. It is 

heartbreaking to us when we have to turn pets

down because we wish we could help 

so many more. We're trying to come up with

new, fun & innovative ways to do just that!!
