still awaiting their forever home.
Skoobers has a brain tumor but he is still
a happy guy so he would like his legacy

The Joshua Fund Helps Again!

Please welcome baby Carter to our list of pups that we are assisting! Carter was adopted from a shelter as a sickly little man unbeknownst to his new family.

As we all know Parvo can be a very deadly disease and Carters life was hanging in the balance, the vets office told me that they really did not give Carter much hope of pulling through because Parvo hit him hard! But I want you to know that Carter is doing so much better he is now able to eat and drink a little and keeping it down! Carter is on the road to recovery but still has a way to go!

I want to personally thank Carter’s family for having enough compassion, enough love for not only your family but for Carter that instead of putting him to sleep you took that chance even though you knew you could not afford his vet bills YOU did not give up on a beautiful life. Thank you! Thank you for trusting in Koda’s Legacy that we were going to help you!

Like I said in another post, Koda’s Legacy is has 2 very ill pups that they are taking care of and the costs are high, when we have someone coming to us for help and we cannot financially help them we will let them know up front that our funds are tied up, but this is what we can do. We give options just like I did with Julie (Carters mom) and this is the outcome below!

I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU once again to “The Joshua Fund” for jumping in on Carter’s behalf and donating $500.00 to his care! There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Please take a moment of your time and hop on over to “The Joshua Fund” facebook page and thank them for loving the animals. Please also share their page! Let everyone know that there are options out there to help them with their vet bills.

Thank you Mr. Daniel from The Joshua Fund

Thank you ALL!

What Exactly IS Koda's Legacy?

Most of you know the reasoning behind Koda’s Legacy some of you may not know completely.

Koda came from a back yard breeder that did not care for the creatures that he was breeding or the pups that were born. Koda has numerous medical issues from diabetes, partial blindness, and hip dysplasia. Numerous times we have went down twisty roads with boulders in our way that we have been able to overcome because within Koda’s chest beats the golden heart of a Rottweiler with determination to overcome obstacles! Koda’s medical bills last time I checked was around $23,000.00, from specialists to hospital stays etc. We have been fortunate enough to have the funding for Koda’s medical needs but so many people do not have this, hence the reasoning behind Koda’s Legacy. I am not saying that we are rich nor have we have not struggled paying some of his vet bills but we have an AWESOME veterinarian team that worked with us if needed.

Koda’s Legacy is growing fast especially behind the scenes. We have numerous things going on with fundraising, we are getting requests to help more pups almost weekly and we have gotten 3 requests in the last 2 weeks.

Unfortunately we cannot help all of those pups because we are simply not equipped to yet! We are trying our best to assist in any way possible. We are contacting the vets to verify information about the animals. This is how we have helped some of these pups so far:

• Sarah a cancer pup in need of a $2500.00 surgery to remove a mast cell tumor, we have put our name and have helped Sarah’s mom set up a auction to help get Sarah her much needed surgery.
• Another pup, heart breaking story, we never got the chance to assist even though complete funding was available through “The Joshua Fund”, we did the leg work and helped to no avail.
• Hope is a chemically burnt pup where the family that found her is doing their best; we are currently waiting on more information.
• We now have Carter the parvo pup that was adopted from a shelter sickly, we know how deadly parvo can be and poor little Carter has been in ICU for a few days. We will be setting up a chip-in for Carter to help alleviate the cost; I also have again reached out to another organization for assistance.

As of yesterday there was only 4 of us behind the scenes of Koda’s Legacy and we are ALL busy doing various things from; research, contacting people and businesses for donations for our auctions, overseeing Sarah’s auction, public relations, phone calls, getting faxes, making stuff for auctions, brainstorming for new and exciting ways that we are going to take Koda’s Legacy. There is so much behind the scenes going on that no one see’s. I know personally that all of us myself, Jessica, Lynne and Danielle are sitting behind the computer screen no less than 7-8 hours daily just trying to keep up with Koda’s Legacy at this point! Then the other hours of the day we are brainstorming with Koda’s Legacy on our minds and where we are going and what we want the end result of Koda’s Legacy to be.

This is where “our” goal is, what we foresee, and what we are working so diligently on.

• We want to NEVER have to turn away an animal in need of medical care no matter how small or how complicated the medical condition it is.
• We want to be a household name.
• We want to make that difference in someone’s life that has no hope, we want to hold their paw and give them that hope, we want to save animals lives! We ARE helping to save lives.

With all of this being said, who we are, what we are about, where we are headed you can help us achieve these goals, our goals your goals by sharing Koda’s Legacy!

Thank you ALL that have supported us through “our” journey so far!

Please bid at Sarah's Cancer Auction to help a dog in need

Sarah has mast cell cancer and Koda's Legacy
has helped set up an auction (with Sarah's
family) to raise money for the surgery.

Sarah is the light of her family's life and as
sweet as she can be. The cancer is in her armpit
and it's essential to get that nasty cancer out of there!

Every winning bid will go directly to the
Veterinarian who is performing the surgery.

Sanctioned by Koda's Legacy, this auction
will help Sarah live the rest of her life
in the arms of those who love her.

Here's the link to the auction album:

Thank you for helping Sarah!
